Tracy Blythe is a Certified ABCDT that is here to help you with dog training and make it as stress-free for you while training your dog in Jacksonville, FL
Tracy rejoined the Julington Creek Animal Walk team in April of 2022 and works as a trainer/kennel co-manger. Her passion is dog training and she enjoys making a positive difference in the lives of not only the animals but their owners. She has always had a deep affection for all animals but especially dogs. Tracy has been working with dogs on her own and through various organizations since 2014. Prior to relocating to Jacksonville, she obtained a certification of Dog Training from the ABC Canine College in 2015 and completed a 2-year internship with a master trainer and opened Valley K9 Training. Tracy has taught group and individual classes in Socialization, Obedience training, Odor Detection, and Search and Rescue. She participated, trained, and titled a dog in French Ring and ACK and UKC Nose Work. She volunteered with a nonprofit service dog foundation providing training to service dogs. She raised and trained service dogs which were then successfully placed with a handler. She volunteered and trained with EVAK as a Search and Rescue Canine handler. Outside of work, Tracy enjoys spending time with family, friends and her dog Heist (a retired search and rescue dog).

Basic Obedience Training
Next session begins January 19, 2025, 7 classes (Sundays 2:00-3:00pm, no dogs first class)
Our Basic Obedience Training includes basic commands like sit, down, the start of heel position, recall, place, loose leash walking, and basic manners. This basic obedience training typically is held on select Tuesdays from 7-8 pm and Sundays throughout the year. There are seven total classes. In the first week of class, owners do not need to bring their dogs.; All classes for basic obedience are held outside. Eight spots are available for this training, and sign ups for training are in our Julington Creek Animal Walk Lobby; payment is due when you sign up your dog.
Must be up-to-date on all vaccines: rabies, distemper, bordetella, negative fecal exam, and heartworm test

Advanced Obedience Training

In this Advanced class we take the basic obedience commands to the next level. We work reliably and distance training with distractions. We also start working on off leash training.

Canine Good Citizen (CGC)
Next session begins January 19, 2025, 7 classes (Sundays 3:30-4:30pm, no dogs first class)
Ten CGC skills will be taught. These skills will help your four legged friend have good manners and teach responsible ownership. A CGC test will be administered at the end of the class.

Introduction to Agility

Our Introduction to Agility class introduces the agility equipment to your pet. During this class, your pet will learn how to use the equipment, run unique obstacle courses, improve communication, and AKC rules. This class is held on select dates throughout the year. During the first week of class, owners do not need to bring their dogs. Eight spots are available for this class, and owners can sign up in our Animal Walk Lobby; payment is due when you sign up your dog.

Introduction to Rally

Our Introduction to Rally class introduces the primary position, equipment, signs, and meanings. This class is held on select dates throughout the year. During the first week of class, owners do not need to bring their dogs. Introduction to Nose Work

Introduction to Nose Work class will begin introducing and learning about odor and imprinting the dogs on the 3 AKC orders: Birch, Anise, and Close. This class is a great class for dogs to build confidence and a strong bond with their owner.

Day Training
Our Day Training class is offered on Mondays and Thursdays minus Holidays. This class is a one-hour private lesson focused on two areas: sit, down, heel, loose leash walking, recall, and place, an afternoon playtime for eligible dogs, and a 15-minute consultation that includes a go-home lesson for owners from Tracy when it is time to leave. These individual private classes can be signed up for in our Animal Walk Lobby; payment is due when you sign up your dog.

Board and Train
Our Board and Train class is offered on select 3-week periods during the year. The board and train class includes your dog being boarded and trained in one of our terrace suites for three weeks. During their stay, your dog will have multiple 1-1 training sessions with Tracy daily. Owners will receive a two-hour review session at departure. Every other day owners will also receive a report card with pictures and updates on their dog’s progress. We offer an option for participation in our afternoon play sessions as well. While your dog stays with us over the three weeks, they will learn to sit, down, heel, loose leash walking, recall, and place. Payment is due when you sign up your dog for our Board and Train class.
